Christine Macy, pictured on the right, is the Kansas Director of 21st Century Learning programs. She recently hosted a training for program directors in Wichita. She is pictured with speaker, Dr. Stephen Sroka from The Power of One; Power of Many.
The team is constantly looking for improvements in daily operations of the after school programs. The first schedule placed all students in the cafeteria for snacks. This schedule is more conducive to productive casual conversations with classmates and easier groups to manage behaviors. The End-of-Day Meet Ups were added with this schedule to allow for each class to reflect on topics of inclusion.
